FAT32 has the same limitation, so setting the limit to 2GB is just plain annoying and not a strict requirement. There is no option to change the file format Traktor saves to, it's a huge weak point in the software. The broadcasting is limited to IceCast, and the recording is locked to WAV, while i'm not going to fault the icecast choice due to licensing follies regarding MP3 (And thus Shoutcast) there is absolutely no reason why Traktor should be saving to WAV given the whole host of alternatives available that are far greater for this purpose and able to capture longer recordings at comparable if not greater quality (Flac)The Max limit of a wav file can exceed 2GB but cannot go over the maximum 32bit limitation of 4GB (3.9)I will share your feedback with the Traktor team. I believe the rationale is that Traktor comes from a background of DJs using vinyl, thus WAV is the best digital format to translate its audio fidelity since it is uncompressed.that being said , why not offer other codec options like flac, mp3 or even ogg (since that ones free) - since you already have broadcasting to icecast built in, this cannot be hard to implement?Comments.Mix recording File Size Limit (2GB) due to outdated format [en-us]
